Why I stay on social media

I almost left. Almost.

Even after writing about how I would not be silenced and about how I would not change the way I engage through social media, I still almost left. But after discussing it with a few people and, especially, after how much feedback I received at an event yesterday, I knew I had to stay.

I will miss engaging with other parents about our children and with others about my workouts and such, but I can handle that.

What I will continue to do – as much for others as for myself – is voice my thoughts and feelings about what’s going on in our community, in our province, in our country, and in the world.

If I wasn’t already sure after all of the discussions I had, I was most certainly sure after watching the following video about why women need to stay engaged on social media.
